![]() 3.4 Selection of the time step t The time step t is selected as minimum time steps of a stable solution in Abaqus and FlowVision. CEL and SPH capabilities in Abaqus/Explicit are demonstrated using industrial examples, as well as the setup of CEL to solve a benchmark UNDEX problem using Abaqus/CAE and SPH to solve a dynamic fluid flow problem on the 3DEXPERIENCE Cloud platform. FlowVision supplies the numerical solution for system (7,8), ABAQUS solves the system (9-11). CEL and SPH are well-established methodologies that have been broadly applied to problems of extreme deformation of materials in any phase (solid, liquid, or gas), including materials as they transition between phases (such as in the melting of metals. In this presentation, we will discuss two of these capabilities that are embedded in 3DEXPERIENCE Abaqus/Explicit: Coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian (CEL) and Smooth Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH). ![]() After successfully completing the HIRENASD task, we moved on to work with the aircraft wing.
